I have been participating and shooting this event for 20 years.  Each year there has been less beer and more local politics involved.  As the Presidents (and photographer) get older the country seems to be sinking into the reality of what many of these Presidents have done in real life.  While espousing our constitutional virtues abroad with the blood of American soldiers, they tend to forget that Americans at home need a little Democracy themselves.  As our beloved Parker passes  the torch, it would be my hope that the event does not become a local political tool of the Chamber or the City Council or any other government entity and each president is free to express their own wishes in their portrayal of a President.  Presidents should not be selected on their local political or bussiness affiliations but rather on their ambitions to entertain and educate and their desire to protect the Constitution that the parade represents.  And their dedication to the founding spirit of the event "four more beers".  It is in this spirit that I dedicate all the photographs of the event I have taken over the years....
